weekly for better half on virgin atm. Bne-mky return. No quarantine as flying regionally. For me back in march 13. Bne to HVb.. again regional flight. no quarantine restrictions.

Anzac Day, BNE-TSV via CNS with QF. Even though within the state, everyone had to disembark in CNS, show id, and answer a number of question by QPS and Federal. Im liking the social distancing with the middle seat blocked. I also could not select any seats ( have no QF Status ) until checkin opened t24, and i was able to select 4A. I have 2 flights per week every week for the next month, all between BNE and TSV and BNE and CNS.
Before that, was CVG-MSP-LAX-BNE 26th Feb.

AKL-SYD for Mardi Gras and then again the weekend after that. 5 days after coming back from Sydney for the last time, the border was closed (by which I mean the 14 day quarantine rule was introduced which has exactly the same effect for me personally).

Unfortunately, I came down with a bad cold and was silly enough to think seeing my GP here in NZ might be of help. However, when he found out that I had just returned from that bad scary country across the Tasman, he immediately panicked and stuck one of those awful Covid tests up my nose. My symptoms did not match at all and it came back negative as I had expected but I can now claim having been one of the first people in New Zealand getting one.

Saying all that, I think my experience helps explaining why NZ has done so exceptionally well with getting ahead of the virus: An inner city GP practice had those tests ready at a time of the outbreak when in many other countries (US, anyone?) they wouldn’t even have thought of testing.

Last flights were back in November, Albury to Gold Coast and back. I have a USA booking in October, but it won't be happening.

October last year, a roster change presented the opportunity for a quick 8 night getaway to Thailand, thankful i did given the current situation is likely ruining my next cultural adventure and the next opportunity will be over a year away ;( also reminded me why i started buying points and dont fly economy as i couldnt justify the burn or outlay on 8 nights when the flights were sub $600 😂

My last flight was January...MEL-OOL

22 March SYD-OOL.

Still thought Easter visit to SYD would go ahead. April first month since 2007 not to have a flight and 6 weeks now since last flight would be the longest time without a flight in 14 years.

And now 9 weeks since last game of golf is the longest time without a game of golf for at least 26 years.

And to think the year started on a good note to follow on from awful 2019.

I still play golf twice a week. It's the only exercise I get at the moment

Feel a little like an "AA" (aircraft anonymous) meeting -

Hi. I'm Mark.

It has been 75 days since my last flight, VH-NXJ, a QF 717-200 from SYD to CBR.

My wife was scheduled to travel to the US in March with her 80 year old father to see his great grandchild. With him fretting we rebooked that, before fees were waived, to September. Doubt that will happen now too ...
