When is it Likely for Flight Deals to Hawaii?

Looking at flight deals from Brisbane to Hawaii in October. Just wondering if anyone knows about timings of Qantas providing deals for discount flights at any point throughout the year? Thanks!

No one knows for certain when airlines will discount routes ~ sales.
Less likely in school holidays for such a close to 100% leisure destination.
Hawaii has lost some airlines-frequencies from AU (Jetstar)
Airlines/routes in Wikipedia, But may not be up to date

I don’t think there’s a schedule for sales, you just have to keep your eye on them. Assuming you are flying economy, a fair price outside of sales is about 1.3K, which goes down to about $999 or occasionally lower during sales. Forget about sales for travel during school holidays, so hopefully your travel is after the school holidays in October.

The route is very heavy on business / premium economy pax so not many deals to be found there (I was on QF103 and 104 this last week and the premium classes were booked solid but economy was wide open).

Also consider as of April, Hawaiian is oneworld but doesn’t have a JV with QF so will price compete.

QF PE on SYD-HNL (return) has been pretty keenly priced in recent QF Sales including the last one. We did a cheeky trip last year for the same ~$2k fare (even scored 2x points upgrade to J on the outbound).

Also consider as of April, Hawaiian is oneworld but doesn’t have a JV with QF so will price compete.

It’ll be interesting to see if there’s any significant changes come April and the official OW entry?
