Double points or status credits to Paris

Seeing as ex Sydney return is similar price (just over $10k), it seems SYD it is!
Double status or not...just could not give Qantas that money. ..when you can do it ex BKK with AY for 4k!

Wondering, if I fly SYD - CDG but do a stopover for a few days in Singapore, will the trip still be eligible for DSC?

Probably not

Eligible Flight: An Eligible Flight for the purpose of this offer means an outbound flight marketed and operated by Qantas on QF33 or QF255 from Australia to Paris (CDG). Return flights on QF34 or QF256 from Paris (CDG), or QF2 or QF10 from London (LHR) to Australia are also eligible for this offer, provided they are in the same booking as the eligible outbound flight. Domestic Qantas marketed and operated flights within Australia that connect to or from an Eligible Flight and are in the same booking are also eligible. For example, in an itinerary on Qantas operated and marketed flights with a QF flight number from Brisbane to Perth to Paris return, all segments would be eligible. QF flights operated by Alliance Airlines, National Jet, Airlink, Eastern Australia Airlines and Sunstate Airlines are eligible for this offer. Any other flight with a QF flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Qantas including Jetstar and partner airlines including, but not limited to, Emirates and American Airlines will not be eligible for this offer. All bookings must be new to be eligible.

I thought about this for a bit and for a moment also hit AGREE on @HappyFlyerFamily post. Then I got to testing ...

Hmm .. I think the stopover in SIN should still quality for DSC as long as all the legs of the itinerary are in the same PNR.

The T&C say, looking at only the bits that are relevant to my understanding (potentially this is where I go wrong too - let's see) "eligible flight is outbound ex-AU to CDG on QF255". This does not exclude, explicitly, any stopovers. Granted that both *legs* should be on QF255 to be eligible for the earn. Having a stopover does not change the condition "ex-AU on QF255 to CDG", the pax is still on QF255 ex-AU to CDG, just happens to have a longer layover in SIN ...

Tried the below in QF website and it prices ...
01JAN SYD-SIN on QF255, then 08JAN SYD-CDG on QF255

So I'm going to safely assume that the stopover in SIN for a few days should not affect the ability of that booking (PNR) to earn DSC ... Unless of course, I have missed something so obvious that I need a 3rd coffee today ...

Happy to be challenged and corrected ...

I am currently in CDG so won’t participate in this offer.

I flew in on QF255. J was pretty much full. However, there were enough spare seats in Y for some passengers to spread out and lie across 3 seats (which is a first for me on a QF flight!) Agree that forward bookings are low and needed a boost.

Perhaps the best way to boost is to reduce the ridiculous price! 🤪 It's Qantas ...

Yes I did have a quick look but with no Sale fares and at minimum $10k return for Business Saver, even with DSC it’s not worth it.

I would be thinking after this offer, reward seats must have been coming out soon if they cannot sell.
I think this is the best time visiting Paris. It is beautiful, hotels will be cheap and will be amazing to see beautiful scenary with overtourism is over.
