When does Brisbane get A380

....It was a pretty amazing site the other day driving past SYD airport seeing 3 380's all at once (EK & SQ parked over near the tower and QF at a gate).

Is there any other airport in the world where 3 of these babies intersect?

I was asking the same question here. There's definitely 2, maybe 3 - SYD, LHR and possibly CDG if the AF A380 is around at the same time as the SQ and EK ones.

I am in this lounge now. Its more an Emerald Lounge than a First Class lounge. It certainly is quieter than the Business Class lounge. Only six other people using the lounge at the moment. But no view worth mentioning and the food offering at the moment is somewhat poor. But the Moet is cold.
Getting busier, 13 other guests in here now. At least two others sharing the Moet.

It's a little unexciting isn't it. You could be forgiven for thinking it was "just" a J lounge after visiting the SYD and MEL F lounges.

Moet at this time of the day? That's hell of a brekkie!

I had brekkie at home with my wife (well it was my turn to deliver the breakfast in bed" much earlier in the day.

Since they won't be offering Moet as a pre-departure beverage in the cabin in which I am travelling, I might as well have it in the lounge before boarding ;)

Hmm, 24 in the BNE WF FLounge now. Its certainly busy now. Not many spare seats for new arrivals.

QF has been selling PE on QF15/16 BNE-LAX-BNE for some time now. However, since the "2-class" 747-400 aircraft do not have PE seats installed, the PE passengers get to sit in Skybeds on the lower deck (with PE service).
I have a possible trip BNE-LAX in April next year. This PE option looks good. When I go to Qantas.com and search for PE flights BNE-LAX it is routing me via Sydney. Any tips on accessing the PE fares on the 2 class 747s?

What date are you looking for? QF15 does not operate on Mondays.

Yup, flew it on QF15 last month. :) I was asking for the 'regular' PE seating, not anticipating that one day I'd pay for PE and get a Skybed, without using points or getting an op-up.
Although, we were asked to use the whY loos, which was a bit weird.

There is no need to make excuses for NM. He is perfectly capable of doing so for himself :!:  :p

I was merely stating my own personal take on the issue ;). I'd draw the line at spirits for breakfast, but hell, to each his own.

Looks like 14th Feb is the last date they are currently selling PE on QF15.

OK, thanks for that.

I don't think my Valentine will allow me that much flexibility to spend extra time in the states.

Edit: I will monitor this to see if in a month's time they are selling PE seats out to 14 March. I'm thinking PE availability might be part of their yield management as the date of departure approaches.
