When did vouchers (QF, Woollies, Myer etc) bought with QFF points increase by 17%?

I always used to calculate points (for the sake of buying Jetstar plus bundle etc) using the value of Woolworths vouchers. You used to get about 0.67c per point (ie $100 voucher would cost ~15000 points). Now I noticed Woolworths vouchers are about 0.57c per point (ie. $100 voucher costs 17,570 points).

This is 15% devaluation. Nice one. NOT.

Did I miss this somewhere else on AFF?

likely not as few here would advise/countenance actually buying the things at even the old rates.

There's still the ~0.78¢ ($0.0078) value placed when using points plus pay for airfares on Qantas.com.

Ok that's good to know. Woolies voucher were always my exit strategy if I got sick of the whole program! But the reduction in fuel surcharges (at least ex-AU) have altered the equation back towards flying, at least economy redemptions (which have good availability) are worth a bit more now, and there is the odd premium redemption that can still be had without 330+ days notice.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Hmm they were also my calculation for minimum cash-out value (when it's worth paying a surcharge, etc). Not that I redeemed any, but the last time I checked was mid last year when it was 0.67c/p.

$250 Woolworths eGift cards at 42,300 points yeild 0.59 cents per point.

Interestingly this is the same yield as a $2000 QF voucher.

Myer $250 egift card came out at 0.6 cents. David jones $250 egift 0.618.

Very disappointing!

They haven't been at the $100 for 15000 point level for over 12 months. Last time I looked it was $100 for around 16500 points.
