There are flights SYD MEL and VV, there are also flights to OOL, but that is it.

Thanks for the info.

My random search so far fails to identify any MEL (int) - SYD but your info suggests I need to be more thorough / patient.

Great !

Thanks. Yes it will be a leisure flight by myself. If there is not much difference between the Int J lounge and QC domestic SYD T3 then I will just go domestic terminal... I have plenty of time so that's not an issue.

To round out this point, the major difference between Int J Lounge and the regular QP is that the food in the J Lounge is better. I had the opportunity to travel on QF19 from SYD to BNE recently and sampled the breakfast offering which consisted of the usual QP offering (toast, fruit, museli, yoghurt etc) plus scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, bacon and grilled tomatoes/mushrooms. Also on offer was some kind of McMuffin (with meat, sauce and egg).

Naturally the beverage selection is also better with smoothies and alcholic beverages on offer.

Clever !

I was only plugging away with the QF booking engine

Thanks

Thanks. I think I won't bother with the Int J lounge.

I was even thinking doing SYD-MEL with QF and MEL-SYD with VA (I have lounge access as well with VA via my Amex Plat Charge Card). No idea on the VA lounge in MEL vs QP at MEL.

So if I, as a WP, book a Qantas flight, but operated by Jetstar, I still have to join the heaveho at the Jetstar check in?
