When awards points Business Class really means Economy

Tried that myself, can't seem to get the multi-city to do that for an ASA. Classic - yes, ASA - no. Would love to see how you are doing it :)

Tried it a couple of times and it seems as though it is reverting to Classic even when I choose ASA. Perhaps it is when other airlines are involved as ASA'a are JQ/QF solely.

The first couple of posts talked about "award flights" hence I hadn't tried to distinguish between ASA and Classic. Might go and play around with some dummy bookings. ;)

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

My personal opinion is that mixed class awards should only be presented as an option when:

  1. Greater than 50% of the distance/time is in the higher cabin for which points are being charged
  2. The total points required for the mixed option paid at higher cabin rate is less than splitting into individual awards

I also think there should be a button to select "all sectors at selected travel/cabin class".

But the little "!", if it appears, advises only one or some of the legs are in J. How can that be seen as misleading?
If they were offering on an LAX-SYD via BRIS the LAX-BRIS leg as J and BRIS-SYD Y then they could be justified in calling it a J seat availability. But in fact it is the reverse that is more often the case. The longest sector as Y. I believe it would be less misleading to promote them as Y seats not J as they do now. The "!" is their "get out of jail" tactic and it is actually misleading from the outset.

You roll your mouse over the "!" and it explains it all. Frustrating, yes. Misleading, no.
