What's your favourite big city destination?

To complete the trilogy of threads I've started this morning (see here), what's your favourite place to visit if you want to experience a big, bustling city?

My personal favourite is Berlin, but New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore all come to mind as well as places I really enjoy.

To the above cities I'd add Paris: a great all-rounder with a little bit of everything: food, culture, (urban) scenery, and a fun (if slightly intimidating) vibe.
