Wow Qantas, This is just plain ridiculous penny pinching.

Did they think at all about the passenger? No taking a sip and putting it into the seat pocket. Skull and go?

I felt like I'd just been given my play lunch at kinder.

Although it's better than the MEL/PER last week, where we got none at all....

So what's the scoop?

Ooooo, its sure money pinching.
How much is red wine though, in the small bottle, $8?
Well AJ did say QF was back to profit, and he even allowed some of a capital dividend (not even a profit dividend last year).
Aust domestic QF flights, I used to get at least the 250ml clear bottle.
Looks like I might have to pre drink from the QP.

Out of curiosity, would you prefer this type of packaged water or water from a carafe?

It is temporary out of Q Catering ports due to packaging/supply issues.

Makes sense. QF605 BNE-MEL had the same little fellas yesterday, although QF632 return yesterday arvo had reverted to the 250ml bottles (new supplier though, not the Mount Franklin bottles).

Almost always get these 100ml water containers on Qantaslink flights. Considering they are about the same or not much shorter in duration than many capital city flights I don't really see the fuss.

I could be wrong but I think they do not fill them fully due to the freezing risk(?) but that one looks like it is only 2/3 full - if that - which is unfortunate. I don't recall any I've had to be that little. I'd just ask for another I think

Bring on the little bottles. Fit nicely in the bag for urban walking during the day and filling up at every oppo under taps low to the sink and chug a lug immediately and put empty bottle back into bag for the next water stop.

Saw the water cups on a flight from MEL earlier this month but happy to see a regular 250ml bottle was offered from SYD last week.

The brand was also changed from Mount Franklin to Nu.

These contain 110mL of water. They have been around for a long time so not a recent development.

I prefer neither. The problem with these is you can't reseal them so you either drink it all in one go or run the risk of wearing some of it later on. The small bottles you can reseal and take with you to re-use if you want.

I just BYO (Bring/BuyMyOwn )...i do so when travelling for HOURS on buses/trains/and even walking...stupid me for taking personal responsibility ...oh ...I forgot...some people don't know how to do this LOL..this is my opinion...of course ;)

All of that is fantastic if you drag along a bag with you everywhere you go. If you don't drag a bag....

agree that the drawback on this its all or nothing - have all of em now, or have all of em later. wonder how much savings it is when compared to the 250ml bottles (must be a lot?!)..

even when I don't travel with 'a bag', I find my HANDS are quite convenient for holding stuff.. and I apologize if I have offended you if you don't have hands

It's great that you are organised.

You'll find some people that do have hands can have other problems. For some people it is extremely difficult to hold say some documents between thumb and forefinger. You wouldn't understand the pain/discomfort unless you experienced it yourself.
