Just been looking at online seat selection for QF22 (NRT-SYD) I changed my seats, but it gave me an error when selecting the return leg seats.. I finished the process then went back to the booking and chose to look at the seat map again and it gave me this for the return leg. I would say they were changing it while i was looking at the seat selection the first time.. I have looked at the QANTAS seat maps they provide as a PDF on qantas.com, but cannot work out what plane this is? (I am QF Gold if that helps?)

*Flight details are showing it as a 747-400...

Is it showing some premium economy?

EDIT: The rows of 3 seats (business?) in the middle at the top of image which is blocked for me is the bit that really confuses me?
EDIT 2: I have changed the picture to a larger one..

thanks in advance!!

The seatmap above is consistent with the seatmap for VH-OEB (which is in a 14P/66J/40Y+/187Y configuration)

http://www.qantas.com.au/infodetail/flying/inTheAir/ourAircraft/744-14P66J40PY187Y.pdf

It looks like QF has opened up the Y+ seats in Zone D (rows 36-39) to economy class pax. The seats in Zone C (being the 14 J seats in row 29 and 30 and the 12 Y+ seats in row 34 and row 35) appears to be reserved for Y+ pax but may become available to Y pax.

Seems that VH-OEB is fresh from the Captains Choice Tour and back into mainline use.

My QF5 on 14th June just happens to be this plane given it is the only one left with this seat configuration. Given my newly acquired WP status I have switched to 36B from my originally selected 39B. Is there anything I should be aware of with these seats in terms of legroom? Expert Flyer is not giving any positive or negative feedback on any of the seats in this area.

36J appears to already have been nabbed and between selecting my seat and checking Expert Flyer it appears my newly acquired WP Shadow is also working! :D
