What next after WP?

To be honest, and with all due respect to the other posters who have suggested this, but what's the point of getting the status if you then switch to another airline just for the sake of getting more status? Once you get to WP, you start getting half decent service and you start earning 100% bonus points for upgrades and free trips, so in my view, stick to it.

JOBU, earn and burn may be better on the other airline despite the 100% bonus for points as a plat, if your LTG you are only getting 50% bonus as LTG already gets 50%. If you have locked in LTG with its lounge and luggage benefits then F lounge access and Dom J access may not be much of an incentive.

I have a friend who was a Senator for one term, and had CL. Got to keep it for 2-3 years after retired, but now is back with the rest of us plebs....

CL is not lifetime, there was a thread recently about QP tightening up on who has CL and taking it away from a lot of people. It's very much so a case by case basis and as always YMMV

reckon it's more of a descent on a soft pillow:

her and partner recently went to Europe on points in economy, and still got access to first lounge in Sydney...
