What is your favourite hotel loyalty program, and why?

I'd never heard of ALL Signature and I am now officially intrigued. From a Google search it seems to be an overseas subscription programme that Australians can access? Can you point me in the direction of a guide to the programme and/or any hacks such as special offers or deals?
I’m in same bucket… never heard of before and went and googled it after reading the post. Interested in more info too pls ☺️

Oh, one decent thing with HH is “5th night free” ie 5 nights for the cost of 4x with points). If you can still find somewhere with decent points rates it can be excellent use of points for longer stays.

Apparently IHG has a version but only via certain CCs - AFAIK?

Marriott Bonvoy offers this also

Head over to the Accor thread to DYOR rather than send this thread OT

Currently I use ALL as my main program. As others have said, Signature and Accor+ really sweeten it for me. Previously loved IHG and have dabbled with Hilton and Marriott thanks to AMEX Platinum freebies, but don't find them good value to me as self-funded.

I would say I look at the value of my points differently to a few on here with ALL. I don't touch them for stays, but the experiences like concerts are what I'm drawn to. This year I've seen Bryan Adams, Dua Lipa and later this year if they don't break up first, Oasis - all will be in their suite at various stadiums with bottomless alcohol etc... The experiences are what do it for me :)

I don’t choose where to stay based on points or tier status — I choose the property that best fits the destination and the experience I’m after. Not all Sofitels or InterContinentals are created equal, and some of the exceptional hotels like Mandarin Oriental and Four Seasons don’t even follow the traditional earn-and-burn model. These hotels still have room upgrade opportunity etc depending on how you book such as FHR, through a luxury travel advisor or internal guest program.

Just look at how many Accor Platinum and Diamond members there are — it’s unrealistic to expect consistent recognition or upgrades when everyone holds the same status.

I reckon I am starting to do the same. I was really disappointed with some of the Accor hotels I stayed in Malaysia and could have gotten a better value by staying in other chains. The only hotel I was actually upgraded was an Ibis!

My ultimate debate is: IS LOYALTY EVEN WORTH IT ANYMORE.

I've found some of my best loyalty wins have been via status matches/offers/glitches (e.g Radisson VIP via Avolta, QR via VA, HH Diamond with VA Plat, IHG Ambassador Diamond) rather than clocking up the flights/nights.

Still it's difficult to get a match if you never have status anywhere first.
