Nibbles at the Auckland Airport Pullman lounge. Wonderful service too.

Yes..used the lounge last night and the canapes were good as was the service. Still not sure why though it seems to be only between 5pm and 7pm. Not a big time window. I found the restaurant was not that inspiring either for a Pullman and the breakfast worse than an Ibis in all honesty. Seriously if I was paying quite a bit of money for limited choices, rotten cold bacon, cold and cheap sausages and just normal supermarket bread and baby croissant it's nothing to justify the price. Maybe it's a New Zealand thing.

Coles are looking after us and we got 2 complimentary large pizza s this week. They were OK but I wouldn’t pay for one.

Back to my regular lunches in Brisbane CBD. Today’s was Donna Chang (Cnr George & Elizabeth Streets). The menu is a favourite of mine:











Dish of the day. Crunchy, but succulent inside.

Back to Dicky Beach for lunch. Mrsdrron had the roast of the day-pork.


And I had the fish tacos. Beautiful flathead.


Both were $18.

Some more room service meals. Late evening (sorry for poor quality).


Steak sandwich - including being asked how I wanted the steak. And came with option for a 'side' Caesar salad at discounted cost.

All delicious and very generous.

We are currently in Grassmere in Lakes District on a mini bus day trip from Manchester. Naturally there is rain around. The bus doesn't get back to late so we had a big lunch.

Mushroom Soup, coughberland Sausage, bacon and egg roll and Cornish Pasty



The food was nice but the Ginger Beer was horrible. Full of botanics and with sweetener. It was behind the counter so I didn't get a good look at it until too late.
