What do you like most about Qantas?

Qantas has been my airline of choice for many years. I know people often complain about the inconsistency, but my experience is largely opposite.

I think the thing I love most is actually the consistency - you know what to expect, and > 99% of the time it's delivered. You know that you'll receive friendly service. You know you'll get a decent snack/meal. And you know that you'll be looked after if something goes wrong. I can't say the same about many other airlines around the world.

I love that the adelaide qantas club has pre-made coffees waiting for me at 5 am.

Used to be great when they also served pre made toasted sandwiches. Perhaps no longer doing the sangas is one for the other thread

The customer service can be first rate! I put in a complaint via the QF website on Sunday 28/2 concerning problems I had with IFE on my previous 2 flights (by chance I had been in the same seat on the same plane twice and had the same problem both times). By midday the next day I got a phone response with an apology and dollop of extra points as compensation (which I had not requested). Nice!

If you flew to PER via ADL or SYD you would get more SCs (and maybe even points depending on who pays the fare) and might even get to SG.

And if you fly via SYD or MEL you might score an A330 instead of a B737.

I'm probably going against the grain here, but I value time and convenience more than points and SC's. Aircraft type isn't a huge concern, as long as it's reasonably comfortable and not a turboprop.

Mrs 2905 has mobility issues and often requires wheelchair assistance, so the more direct the better in that regard too.
