I'm travelling with the family later in the year BNE-HKG-FCO and return with CX.

Master Gremlin (aged 8) has a range of allergies including all dairy, fish, shellfish, soy, legumes, tomato, potato, eggplant, chili and capsicum. His dairy reaction is the most severe so we're thinking of ordering a low-lactose meal, however none of the other reactions will be overly pleasant to deal with on a 24 hour trip. Can anyone suggest an alternative meal choice that may offer us greater protection? Alternatively, would we be able to bring food on board for him that we know is safe, bearing in mind the transit?

You certainly have your hands full with the young one. Have you had a look at Baby Meal, Vegetarian Meal, Special Meals - Cathay Pacific yet ?

Also you can contact CX to discuss dietry requirements

Note
Please be advised that any personal food items brought on board for consumption should not require reheating nor chilling. For hygiene reasons, our crew will not be able to re-heat nor chill food items brought on board by passengers.

you can bring your own solid food (food that is too liquid may fall foul of the LAG rules). Perhaps order a fruit platter meal to add to what you bring on board?

That's not actually a bad idea. He's a healthy eater and would be very happy with a salad wrap (with only the right bits of salad on them). Supplemented with a fruit platter could work nicely.

unfortunately that was the only thing I could think of. Even vegan meals may contain a lot of things he's allergic to, and kid's meals probably have things like potatoes.
