What cheeses me off

However its not ideal for those of us that are sensitive to fragrance.
Fair call. I'm not sure what non-scented (non-fragrance) washing powder / liquid is like (I've never purchased or found anything like it), but some stuff I've seen vended in laundromats, or now added automatically, looks incredibly generic that it's probably used in government operations.

If most people want any kind of scent on their clothes, it usually must be added during rinsing, i.e. fabric softener rather than detergent. Which is more difficult to achieve on most laundromat machines now.

Thinking about it, fairly sure the last laundromat I used in Seoul dispensed non-scented detergent, because I couldn't pick up any scent when I folded the clothes out of the drier. Anti-psychologically for those of us used to using scented detergents, it's a bit of a red flag as to whether detergent was actually used (or enough of it), i.e. how do we know we didn't just pay for a cheap bubble formula rather than laundry soap. (OK so that's a "disadvantage" of autodispensers)

Yes
I carry laundry sheets in my luggage
I took some for the trip I finished this week. They had been compressed so much by umm, too much stuff in my case, I think I created a white fossil. Rock hard. Threw them out. They do make luggage smell nice though. I'm not bothered by scent like some which is lucky given the reek of the tannery place we visited in Morocco.

I am another that is very sensitive to smells. You may not have noticed the scent in the detergent but for us sensitive souls we'd pick it up a mile away. I can't wear any perfume and all my toiletries are non scented hypoallergenic. I use the Skipper laundry sheets when travelling.

Slightly OT I was walking behind a teenage boy in the street the other day and had to wait for a bit so I wasn't so close. It smelt like he'd bathed in cheap aftershave

"Diamonds are Forever"
Bond: Well, one of us smells like a tart's handkerchief.
Bond: [sniffs] I'm afraid it's me, sorry old boy.

Just about all washing powders and liquids are artificially scented. There are only a few unscented ones available and they tend to be the 'eco' or 'natural' labeled products.

Oh, W also CMO -

The number of adults sucking on their dummies* in Europe. They look like babies gripping them so tightly. And complete disregard for anyone around them.

*AKA vapes.
