What cheeses me off

In-patient rehab has declined significantly in Australia. Its mostly outpatient rehab or in home rehab these days.
I am experiencing all 3.
4 weeks in the rehab ward of Buderim Hospital and they were an excellent team.
Then to a hospital to the home transition package. Useful for physical things such as ramps, rails etc. Also appreciate the showers at first but now can help my self.

But have now started Buderim hospitals outpatient rehabilitation program and it is pretty good too.

My barber complaint : he went to back to India after several years in Singapore to get married.

Struggled to find a good replacement who knows exactly how to cut my hair. But I certainly can’t complain about the cost at ~$9 AUD for a cut. Means that if they don’t do a good job you go back a couple of weeks later for a trim and tidy up.

Microsoft forced an update on Wednesday night. I don't know if it is a coincidence as lappy worked fine on Thursday, then on Friday morning startup I get a black screen. Saturday I managed to hook it up to an external monitor and it works but not able to adjust screen resolution. I thought it might have been a graphics driver issue from the update. The lappy is an Asus Zenbook S16 Ryzen 9 so the drivers probably should not be altered. It is a bugga b/c I might be without the laptop for a week or 3 and I need it to conduct business. Tried booting the 8 y/o Lenovo which needs to be externally powered to operate and found I could not login. Turned out to be keys not registering keystrokes so eventually worked that out and hoping it will serve me the time I will be without the Asus. Who else loses days to bloody computers?

Oh I know this one! Old Lenovos have this annoying bug where the keyboard only works after a restart but not a shutdown. If you have a touchscreen you can restart, otherwise you need a plug in mouse to restart.

It will start but I cannot get past login screen. Just some keys not working. Going to hardly normal now to buy a cheap USB keyboard to get me by. Meanwhile backing up the Asus user files to ext drive and when I came back lappy had turned off. I guess you learn don't you...I have now switched off the turn off (sleep) mode and will start the copy process again.

WCMO? Warm water in hotel bathrooms, not hot. And I am looking at you Intercontinental Melbourne! Didn't bother raising with the desk when we were there but will certainly provide feedback on that (and a number of other issues). Time to back to the Westin I think.

The Mel Intercontinental has been more hot and cold than most hotels. Had some spectacular upgrades as an RA, lounge in the old locale was OK, and then these was the time I got a free show from a room across the atrium with a gent and his hourly hire, ahem…….partner wondered why I kept looking out the window? Then there was the time I attempted a valet park, valet told me to move down the road a little bit, I apparently blocked a fedpol vehicle that was the hot evac for the prime minister who was at an event, whoops.

The LATAM website, can't get them to take my money. Frustrating to fill in all the details and the final page lies by saying credit card and email details are invalid. They're not, the website is borked.

I think there’s a thread on that - sorry, don’t recall what the solution was - perhaps other than going via an OTA?

Perth IC had nice hot water - but only hot water. Handy that they kept us in bottled water, because we couldn't get cold water out of the taps 😅
