WCMO is speciaists that dont respect your time and are obviously up for a money grab.

I had a colonscopy and gastroscopy back in Feb. Results were reviewed with my GP and uneventful.

But on day of procedure i was forced to make a follow'up appointment with the gastroenterologist to discuss results today.

Chose first appointment of the day 8am so I could still get to work. I was here on time. Saw Dr arrive at only 8:30, now 50mins and still waiting.

I have to walk home and change for a important meeting at 10am. Am about to leave. They want $250 to tell me stuff i already know but i will lose more client fees than that not to mention future business if im late for my own meeting.

I was supposed to be out of here by 8:15am. I feel like i should bill the Dr. Its so rude to be tardy and then drag feet.

Mr Denali saw a cardiologist a couple of months ago and the follow up was a telehealth, thankfully. So much easier and faster

He saw a gastrologist last week, 8.30am appointment and he arrived after 9 and didnt see us until after 9.30. Very annoying

There is no law/ regulation /requirement that forces you to make a followup appointment with specialist. You already have the report sent to GP

He is obviously running late and will struggle to get through his patient list today. I would tell reception that they need to reschedule your appointment and should not bill you a missed appointment due to the previous point.

Meh… going to an appointment is the same as flying!

Appointment times aren’t guaranteed, and are subject to operational requirements. There might be an emergency that crops up, even in a GP setting.

Like flying, we should all factor in additional time if we have to be in a certain place at a certain time.

Rather than our appointment time being fixed it sounds like we have a … bundle of rights??

Some decades ago, I received a referral to a specialist located in Frankston from my GP (this was for not urgent stuff). After making a 10am appointment and organising the morning off from my CBD office I arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early. The reception advised the specialist was running overtime and it would be half an hour wait. An hour later I approached reception and ask how much more time. They could not say so I left after arranging a new appointment a week later. The next week I arrived to be told the specials was already running 45 minutes behind. At which point I canceled that appointment and left without making another. I went back to my GP and obtained a referral to a different specialist.

WCMO. On hold waiting for someone to pick up at Superannuation fund. Chat was useless. So I'm told it will be 20 mins wait. Ok. Put call on speaker so I don't have to hold it. Muzak is loud so I've put it down low so it's tolerable. Until it suddenly gets very loud and strident because they must think waiting people need Muzak to get louder and louder like real music. Can't turn it down any more. Then it gets very quiet. Then it builds up again. And it's ugly Muzak anyway. Who needs 'emotion' in Muzak on hold. It's giving me the total irrits as I'm typing this as catharthis.

Doctors. Always late although current GP is pretty good. Previous one always ran an hour late. Even for kids appointments which in a waiting room with sick kid isn't good. Booked the very first appointment one time. But was still 30 minutes late because Dr decided that was the time to chat with a medical rep.

Bloody Muzak still giving me the irrits.

Down at the Melb apartment for some shows this week. Ours is a rare inner city street with no parking restrictions (as most houses are from the late 1800’s/art deco period and sit on huge blocks with 16 car garages). Except… every third one gets sold and replaced by a building that looks like the former KGB offices in Moscow.
That is WCMO enough
Now — get down yesterday and multiple areas with space for two cars to park on street have some &$!/ plonked in the middle so no one else can park. All over the place.

When this happens sometimes someone will back in or come forward very close to their car but it's a once off so pointless. Locals know better. I like the sign idea
I think the renos (actually demos) will go on for years to come. As the parents die land tax kills it for the descendents who cannot buy each other out. Cue the developer. Thankfully we use when doing city stuff and not permanently
