What cheeses me off

When you have to reset your Kobo cause it had a dummy spit and now you have to find the YouTube instruction video on how to load all the libraries up on Kobo for Libby . I have eight libraries to load up again

That worked this morning for an issue my folks called me about....

But WCMO is the "year in review" emails have started rolling in. No thanks, I don't want a reminder of my coughpy year!
Another 3 have arrived since I posted this. I guess today is international day of "your year in review"? 🤔

WCMO? Spent too long faffing about deciding the section in which to get tickets for a concert at a venue I’ve never been to before and just discovered it’s now sold out. Have to keep an eye out for ticket resales now in the hopes that something pops up for a reasonable price. Totally self-inflicted. Argh!

D: Go back in periodically as there are often unannounced drops. That is how I got Gaga after it was sold out. Check if Amex or Telstra is a partner as they can have them on their website. Good luck

At least you get a say on where to sit ! I'm not allowed to pick seats at a concert. I always have to leave the decision to a "higher authority" (Mrs Big John).

So Happy to hear this.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Successfully purchasing concert tickets has become an extreme sport unfortunately.
I have been known to go onto reddit (😱) and use codes that people with early access publish. Nothing to lose and it did the trick once

We found the same with Gaga tickets… ‘sold out’ on the day they were released, but scored prime seats on the day if the concert for $160, through ticketek’s general sales channel (not resales). Similarly with Elton John.

Yeah, that was me last night. I spent quite a while trawling the interwebs looking for codes that could be used for early (now late) access or private/member sales, but all to no avail. Had also signed up to Tixel in the hopes of snagging a reasonably-priced unwanted ticket and was seriously contemplating Viagogo (but my good sense ultimately prevailed in that particular instance despite there being a few tickets being supposedly readily available for little more than face value). Anyway, all a moot point now and will keep your tips in mind for next time as it seems the dreaded "Public Allocation Exhausted" message doesn't necessarily mean what it says on the label 😉

Sometimes tickets become available after the venue is set-up to take into account restricted view/video screens only due to placement of speakers, light towers etc.

WCMO …. But with a happy ending. 🫣

I want a ticket to see the Last Supper in its museum in Milan on a particular day next year. The tickets get released in blocks of three months at a particular time beforehand and a really, really popular.

I’ve been forgetting to check, but I did so yesterday and found it was the day of release so I jumped on the site and all was going well until credit card time and the servers were absolutely jammed. Try again and again; refreshed. Had my phone going as well as my laptop but: service unavailable, service unavailable. Etc

Eventually, I gave up in the late evening and went to bed, disappointed

Tried again first thing this morning Australian time and instant success!

Oh that sort of thing really gets my goat. Only (potential) saving grace here for the owner of the white car is that those newer Woolies trolleys are considerably lighter so the potential for damage is reduced (if they're lucky).
Oh. Me too.

A car wouldn't have fitted into the park the trolley was in. So they've had to walk it over to the space and rolled it into that car. Not windy. So a deliberate action and not just a 'leave it'. I did see one woman simply let her metal trolley go in a car park and it steadily rolled and hit another car. She knew I was watching her. I took a photo of her and her car before she drove off, she didn't leave a note, and I left a note on the damaged car stating I'd seen the incident and to call me if they needed assistance for an insurance claim. Didn't hear back so trust the insurance company paid up.
