What cheeses me off

Same as Roo
Usually travelling alone...Im not a drug addict so cant even use full coffee cup to save the table.
No purse or bag and not leaving my phone there...

Once my seat disappeared before I got back to it with my first cornflakes.
Most times its after the corn flakes when going for bacon or toast whatever, you get back and cornflakes bowl gone and new people sitting in your seat while you stand there with a plate of bacon and nowhere to sit.

I deliberately make a bit of a mess at places like this to discourage seat theft.

Maybe I should start carrying a small cheap foldable hat around and leave that on my table to indicate ‘not finished’.

But then how to avoid it being taken? Brightly coloured? Have Rick Astley motif on it? Hmm, decisions, decisions?

I carry a free magazine and leave it open on the table with a cup of water beside it and some napkins. If the worst happens it doesn't matter if it's taken.

WCMO...

"As you take your seat, please place your larger bag in the overhead bin and then turn it around to occupy less space."

We're on an aircraft where the largest regulation carry on, which most have, doesn't fit in the locker with the short side facing out (it can go in, but the locker door won't close). I suspect most people and crew know this already, so this is a dumb announcement.

Spiral notebook open and pen on top left at table.

Left the table briefly to get Master TC some food and came back to everything gone including fresh pot of tea and my personal belongings that I'd left on the table 😭
Why would they take it away if Master TC was there?

If your personal belongings also went, did you get them back easily?

Doctors surgeries charging to send your medical history to another clinic 🤬
So they charge you for something that the other surgery needs but they can hold onto just to make some more money.

Yes I get someone has to be paid for the time to collect those records and do the sending. It probably costs $30 to do so, but wow.

Next, they'll charge you $30 to pass on and add any correspondence from hospitals to your file, or to make a referral to a specialist. Maybe we shouldn't be so surprised, because GPs have been claiming that clinical costs (viz. usually bulk billing ones) have not kept up with the present for ages, i.e. we really should be paying much more to see the doctor.

At the surgery last week we signed some Medicare docs to allow tele-health consults to remain bulk-billed.

The record is the property of the originating surgery and has 'value' to both parties, accumulated over the time the patient attended there. It would be nice if they gave them over, but not surprising there is a fee. Now, with electronic records, the originating surgery probably argues that they are including the amortising the cost of the electronic system.

My GP has left his surgery and setting up on his own later in the year. I've signed something to say they may contact me then, to facilitate my records being copied over. Not moved, as I may still attend the other place from time to time if my guy isn't available.

Will see how much it costs!
