Well, not sure of what I have done with the new stuff, put everything back as it was including old power supply and it booted first time, sigh!

We are off tomorrow to Hervey Bay for a week, so it can wait until we get home, I will buy another case, and to think I used to work in IT with computers.

Reminds me of the time years ago at HKG where @blackcat20 and I were standing at the J/PB sign and this retiree aged couple came up, looked us up and down, decided we were in the wrong place as we were clearly too young to be flying J or have status (flying J and were both OWE at the time) and stepped directly in front of us.

It was delicious when CX called for OWE before J and we walked straight past them

I actually got satisfaction from the complete opposite. In the premium line at SYD on WF to ADL. This quite young fellow is pushing his way up the line saying I am gold. Now QF had announced the possibility of LTP at the time so I told him I was lifetime platinum and he was very apologetic. I failed to add my LTP was with AA.

Trying to organise 48 meetings, each with 5 attendees. Emailed everyone asking for blackout dates, then planned around what I had received. Well, the flurry of emails saying to allocated time doesnt work when they didnt bother to tell me when they were not available! I've got down to one meeting which is proving hard to schedule, so emailed all involved asking for availability for a smaller set of dates by the end of the day. One replied

Oh I use that, but it wasnt practical to set up 48 polls. Everyone had two weeks to send me any dates they couldnt do. But so many just dont reply, then carry on when something doesnt suit them.

I'm covering someone elses job (on top of my own) and this is one of the tasks. Thankfully not for much longer.

. My rheumatologist of 8 years is quitting private practice. I feel concerned for my niece who also sees her and who has significant issues with lupus and of course, she's so young. I think I can manage without her as I'm pretty much know what to do with current issues and the GP is able to prescribe the hydroxychloroquine for me. The effort of finding another good one is just a bit too much. Rare as hens teeth and likely not accepting new patients.

But what really made me boil, was the admin staff phone call. I'd not got antsy, just a bit frayed on hearing this news, until at the end of the call she started to say "hope you have a ni......" at which point I stopped her and told her that given the nature of the phone call that this 'greeting' was inappropriate.

We had similar somewhere. All J had been called but they weren't letting us on the plane due to some delay inside. Just standing at the door of the plane. Up came this guy pushing past everyone saying 'I'm business, I'm business'. He didn't get past me. We were all business.

A few years ago BA started using 'group 0' for the uber status (). I was queued in the front of the Gp 0, 1 & 2 queue in my usual jeans and t-shirt. The person behind me decided he was more important and pushed ahead of me saying he was group 1. I just let him go. The FA (who had previously seen I was the only group 0 pax) singled me out by name and said I was welcome to board. Priceless look as I then pushed past him.

WCMO is BA tends to talk about priority boarding and then boards most groups in one go. Sounds familiar.

I was drinking Moet in the lounge and was asked when boarding what I'd like for a drink. I asked for Moet. Thinking that was it. The crew member said "I'm sorry ma'am, we only have Dom Perignon. ". Oh well, just this once.
