What cheeses me off

@JohnK Do they have access to a Council-sponsored aged persons handyman? I would try that first as it is in the Council's interest to stop the area going downhill with graffiti vandalism.

The NAB app on iPHONE15 constantly asks me to complete a security questionnaire.

The website I am directed to doesn't work. (a problem acknowledged by staff at branch- they get compaints regulalrly)

I am then instructed to visit a Branch to verify my details.

I went to a Branch 8 days ago and sat there for 2.5hrs while they went through everything and told me there is no problem.

They then called security section who verified there is no problem and just wait 24 hours and the message will go away.

8 days later and I still get the message!

Called NAB this morning and was told to delete the app and reinstall.

I have done that and cleared all cookies and reset the phone and go through the verification process again.

Guess what I still get the message!!!

I called NAB again and after waiting with you are important and music for a long time the operator had no idea what to do and said will transfer to the area responsible.

After music on hold for a long time the call dropped out.

Tried using the NAB online messaging system with the dumb robot that is zero help with any question asked. Asked for a human, "being transferred" - nothing happens. No response.

Going o/s for 5 weeks tonight and no idea if they are going to chop me off or freeze accounts while I am away

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I‘ve never had that issue and I’ve been using NAB app on iPhones for years (currently an iPhone 15 as well).

Is “Passcode” and “Face ID” enabled?

In app, click in ”More” (with the three dots)
“Settings” -> “Security” -> “Face ID” On and “Passcode” On. Disabling “Passcode” will require your entering the web password for everything (not a good idea).

Otherwise, did you delete the profile from previous phone? You usually don’t need to do that transferring from one phone to another but you could try this:

“Settings” -> “Security” -> “Remove profile from all devices”

Delete the app, reinstall and hopefully it’ll sets itself up correctly.

Been on this same iPhone with app since Oct last year. Been a customer for at least 15 years. Message only started appearing in last 2 weeks.

Branch staff who are very frustrated acknowledged its some washing of data "due diligence" in backend somewhere that is going wrong and they get repeated complaints every day from customers in the branch

Your turn maybe just around the corner 🤷‍♀️ or not.

Yes
It seems the banks are all doing their Know Your Customer (KYC) at same time. I have done with three where various security screening done in app. If you use the website not app function on your mobile does it work
I keep both in case app gets buggy

I really like online chats and usually have success with them. I had to call Qantas Insurance today and even though a local accent, my gosh, even she knew she wasn't making any sense and said she needed a coffee. I half wondered if she was having a stroke 😳
A little bit too concerning might have to file that with the ACCC to make sure that they follow up that she is still alive🤣🤣

So I called back yet again.

Transferred across three "specialists" departments. No-one knows why I am getting the message as all checks have been completed as of 8 days ago.

The one department that might be able to help is not answering their phone so they are going to email them to find out what is going on.

Feels like I am watching a 3 stooges episode over and over.

A tradesman would seem the best option in circumstances (unless they have access to a kindly community volunteer group)
Doesn't seem to be any particular arm of government's responsibility
That's not to say I'm not sympathetic to your parents-deliberate damage to one's property can feel very distressing
Yes I know this is tough luck but If I'm not mistaken a tradesman is going to cost at least $300-$400.

I'm not there to see it but this is 2 toned textured brick that is not made anymore. Can't just paint over it so need some sort of paint stripper that is not going to ruin the brick.

Lots of suggestions on Google so maybe start trying the suggestions one by one.

Use a professional graffiti removal firm. They are the only people who will do it properly, even on textured brick.

Some councils, not all offer the materials for free but don't supply the labour.
Some councils have a list of retirees who provide services at low cost.
No harm in asking.

I had those “ID checks” for both my business account (last year, I had to go into a branch - which was painless). Then another request arrived just recently so I called NAB (fortunately I’m a Private Banking client) and was processed pretty quickly. No disruptions - so far!

Woolworths online. Why is it so difficult to keep enough stock at each of the stores?

Trying to do an order for parents today and Woolworths 600mL Spring water bottles out of stock as well as Raspberry Fanta. Both in stock tomorrow but Raspberry Fanta no longer half price.

I then called mum to tell her and in the few minutes the call took when I went back to pay for order Quilton 24 pack was out of stock and the 8 pack almost same price as 24 pack.

Imagine having a captive market with poor customer service?

Had to use the toilet in the Sydney J domestic lounge, by chance I used the same cubicle as Tuesday last week.
I’m sure the cleaners don’t close the door and just do the floor and toilet.
There was the same “stuff” on the wall in the same position. :(
I should have mentioned it last time, but anyway I did this time. Staff were very apologetic and called the cleaner immediately.
IMO, it’s more of a poor reflection on the grubs that do this sort of thing, disgusting individuals. Shirley I wasn’t the only one to notice.

Disturbing to think we are sharing J facilities with passengers of this calibre.
