What cheeses me off

WCMO

Is Airlines misleading information on pricing. Just went to book a fare to ADL and timing and price of ZL looked better than JQ so went to the ZL site which offered me "special promo" price for limited seats available tomorrow - lowest going rate non refundable $199 with lots of attempts at upsell for different packages and options.

Was about to press the buy button and got interrupted by phone calls etc.

Went back to the PC and instead went to skyscanner to see if prices on one of the other 3 airlines had dropped in the meantime and there's the same seat on the same flight on ZL via EDreams for $140.65 including cc fee. Had both websites up at the same time for same flight same day and still the lowest cost seat on ZL showing $199.

I purchased via EDreams and got a few seconds later "please check-in for your flight tomorrow" email from ZL.
Edreams loss leader.

Especially as my only experience to date with eDreams is that the price via them was higher. If you sign up to their premium club/subscription, then magically the price drops! Great deal, you think ...... but nope, that then brings the fare back down to what you could actually purchase it for on the carriers website. WizzAir, in this case.

Obviously not the way to work out one’s frustrations.

On one hand, inappropriate.

On the other hand it is sad (and cheeses me off) that this is where we're at as society - that something like this is even newsworthy. Too much of this sort of faux outrage, that distracts from other important issues. ( such as what will Taylor Swift will be wearing when she alights from the plane for her Australian tour. 🤣 🤣:rolleyes:)

Left handed golf clubs. Australia is such a small market and the availability is very poor.

I'm looking to buy Taylormade M4 irons 4-PW and SW. The PW is 43.5⁰ and the SW is 54⁰. Perfect. So I need 50⁰ and 58⁰ wedges. I've managed to find a brand new Cleveland 58⁰ wedge and have been looking for a 49⁰/50⁰ wedge.

Most of the wedges available on eBay are from USA with ridiculous prices. I have found a near new Callaway 50⁰ wedge on Gumtree but it's in Lakelands, WA. I hope the person is willing to post.

So that gives me 10 irons. Now for driver, 3 Wood and rescue, putter + golf bag and try to keep cost down. Thai golf set almost complete. This my 60th birthday present to myself so I don't carry golf clubs back and forth.

WCMO is receiving unsolicited spam from political parties who change a letter or character iin their address to avoid my blocking.

I’m surprised you arent purchasing in Thailand - I’d have (perhaps incorrectly) assumed they’d be much cheaper over there.

Too difficult to try and find the right clubs for a left hander. Firstly no time and secondly I need clubs while Im looking to buy. I don't want just any set of golf clubs. I want a set of golf clubs that will still be good in 10-15 years time. That should take me through to 75 years old assuming I can still play golf at that age.

Note my Taylormade AP1 irons are now 14 years old and they are still going ok. That will be the set I'll still use in Australia but I don't play much golf here.

Why do servings of cheese and biscuits come with 1 piece of cheese and 3 biscuits, you put 1 cheese around 2 biscuits what do you do with the 3rd biscuit. This might only happen when you visit places like hospitals

Save the 3rd biscuit for travelling business class on SQ. 🤣

They hand out enough cheese to cover 3x the number of biscuits they serve. (Ok you can ask for more.). The opposite problem.

Ditto BA.

Possibly it's in reference to the QF Y offering? I've heard people fly that, every now and then.

WCMO are hotel buffets - particularly at breakfast. I want my food fresh and hot, not warmed up (or not) and sitting forlornly on a warming tray for hours. I went down this morning to a hotel I will not name that only offers a breakfast buffet. As it was trying to cater for multiple nationalities, it all looked rather sad even though I was there less than an hour after the buffet opened. I'm especially wary of cold eggs, especially scrambled, as you can almost see the bacteria multiplying in front of your eyes. Not to mention the waste - assuming they throw all the not consumed food away each morning.

Fortunately, they had some fresh bread, fruit, cheese and salad items. I guess that will do for a couple of days.

Mind you, a few hotels, (I'm looking at you, the Shangri La in SIN), that have the most amazing breakfast buffet. You could stay there for a week and never have the same dish twice. But these hotels are few and far between, in my experience.

Not WCMO - but ….🤣
Shangri La breakfasts are usually brilliant, no matter the location.
