What are the travel opportunities in light of 2019 Novel Coronavirus?

As I have Asia Miles expiring mid year I had a look for redemption J flights with Cathay in June and only waitlist available. Maybe I was being too optimistic.

Yes, and they are apparently adding extra flights Qatar Airways increases capacity to Australia, adds Brisbane
It's an interesting strategy too that they are closing their airport in Doha for arrivals, but allowing transits. They will surely pickup business from that in the short term, and maybe convert a few people as well. It would be ideal for me with my son in the UAE, if only the blockades of Qatar by the rest of the Gulf area were over...
