How will the airlines recover from post Covid-19 and will they continue to deliver the existing services we value? With crude oil at a low price and historically a time airlines deliver discounted fares will the airlines undercut and maintain their FF programs to get the customer or will they be hard and enhance their program with the 'love it or leave it' approach?

I wonder what opportunity the airlines (or at least the airlines that can afford to) took to look in the current low oil prices with their hedging strategies. I know Qantas actively managed their fuel hedging very well, VA, not so much

I'd be more worried about what happens on the ground. As has been commented before, the security theatre introduced after 9/11 was bad enough.

I'm not sure we can predict what will happen with the onboard product yet. Depends whether they need to reduce seating density..

You can bet your behind that most airlines will use the "safety" excuse to introduce nasty cost saving matters. It's already happening- why would pouring a glass of water and handing it to the passenger be any safer than doing the same with champers?

I for the most only fly in J class so am having my hopes up still that once things turn more or less to normal, at least up the front airlines will feel the need to differentiate on quality of in flight product again. You can always hope at least :p

If, by enhanced, you mean "non existent", then I expect you'll be correct.

The aviation world will not, ever, get back to the way it was.

Very sadly agree. If myself and any of my friends have jobs by the end of the year it will be a miracle. I doubt any of us will return to flying roles in the future.
