Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I would like to ask this question again - am the only person currently holding WKF Cards who actually uses the Amex for spend other than ATO?

I haven't spent a cent on mine since the earn rate was enhanced. I'm still keeping it for ATO payments only, as I would find it difficult to keep Mrs 29e and myself in Suites as often as we would like without this extra boost. If ATO payments stop on this card it will be straight in the bin.

I found Mrscove has paid more stuff on her Ktis Flyer card (non ATO) than I have. I tend to use Citi for lots of things too other than ATO.

IMHO this card has really lost it's gloss except for ATO earn - even Prestige at 1.33 KF pts / $1 is better than 1.25 pts / $1 - and I have Westpac Black at 1.5 / $1 for non ATO - but I have continued with WKF rightly or wrongly because I thought if I mix up spend a bit it may not be so glaring as if I used it for ATO only - am I a fool or on the money do you think?

Don't really disagree but Citi Prestige is a MUCH more expensive card!

Citi Prestige/Select has been really good for the two of us. The annual fee is modest when I look at the results.

Yeah but you need to be putting a considerable chunk through the card, for that fee to be modest. As we know you are but it's hardly the best card for a mid level spender. Horses for courses!

If you divide the $350 fee I pay into the points I earn then yes the Citi card is one of life's bargains for my family travel.

burmans YES the $700 price rage can look expensive but it can also look very cheap with benefits that can be obtained. We have 2 in our household - Cruiserette pays the full $700 but I have not paid a cent for 3 yrs now - hope that continues.

And we recently made 4 hotel bookings at rates equal or lower than booking direct with hotel and should be getting ~$1800 combined statement credits - that alone makes the cards oh so cheap.

But sorry for going OT.

Not really understanding this bit, making hotel booking at same price as booking direct is no benefit, lower sure but hardly the only avenue to that. The ~$1800 statement credits is the bit that I'm most interested in, whats this referring to?

As for OT , well yes but you can hardly have a conversation about the value of the Krysflyer without the context of whats (potentially) better!

Citi Prestige has one benefit of a 'Stay 4 / Pay3' where if accom stay booked through their Concierge for 4 consecutive nts you can get 1 night free - free means you actually do pay the 4 nts at check out but 1 month later you receive credit into your card equiv to 1 my accom rate excl of taxes etc and other incidentals.

We have booked 4 x 5nt stays through Concierge and should receive total credits ~$1800 in total. The rates per night we eventually secured through concierge were = to or < than rates if booked direct on hotel sites.

I am hesitating at the $700 fee, but if that is offset by credits I would jump.
Excuse my ignorance, but how do the statement credits work? (Is it extra points for a certain month or for particular purchases?)

Just had a chat to Westpac card closure section as my annual fee is coming up.
Absolutely NO interest in offering a reduced annual fee.... as expected.

With the current miles earn rate on these cards, ATO is the ONLY reason to keep them IMO. If they stop miles for ATO spend, this is a turkey.

I have to figure out if the ATO miles are worth it for $250 plus surcharges.
I am leaning towards ditching the KF cards (and ATO miles) and just using Citi Sig and Amex Plat Edge for my KF miles

I guess it depends on how much ATO spend you have. Mine is roughly 150k/year.

Any advice?

On my cancellation call I was eventually offered half annual fee after declining their lame balance transfer offers.

Definitely worth it with that amount of ATO spend.

Just remember 91,375 Kris miles gets you a Suites Saver out of Singapore to London or Los Angeles and/ or somewhere else they take their A380.
If you hand in your card you will never get another one of these.

Anyone still holding on to this card? The annual fee that I got charged is not cheap, its $250. Is the Westpac Altitude Platinum card a better option perhaps?

It looks as though everyone else has abandoned this card, expect me perhaps.

Second that. It is still a good value for -- you know (certain points).

Absolutely agree. If you have a certain obligatory spend at you know where and you are after KF points it is still a winner.

That is, until ComeFlyWithMe gets the "payment solution" that was being talked about in February up and running.

I also still have this card. Although it is not as lucrative as the golden days, it is still useful.
