I will be following up tomorrow hopefully... I have both the PDF of the offer and an email from Westpac confirm that I was eligible for Fee Free and 60K bonus points.

And i'm sure they will still try and find an excuse lol.

Received the 60K points on Altitude Black (not qantas)

I can see it on netbank. Also did not have any annual fee's posted on my account.

Points arrived less than one month.. first transaction was 27/04

Well done WBC!

Based on the fact that some are getting the points quickly and plenty aren't I can see WBC getting a fair few complaints. Have had my first statement, no 60k points. Time to complain soon, I think!

Where on the net bank can you see the points earned in the current statement period? I was told in a branch that it can only be seen on the actual statement? This is QF pts not altitude pts of it makes a difference.

If it is direct sweep with QF points you won't see it.

It will only show on your QF statement I think...

Its not on the statement it is on the main page of your online banking it will show how many points you have.

Gday

I have got the 60,000 Altitude points and no annual fee. Got the cards about 7 weeks ago.

Pele.

Received 60K Qantas points in my account after the credit card is approved in April. Already used it for 1-way to HKG on CX (65K) after spending $4000 .....

Does anyanybody have the PDF offer as I can not find mine and I am having trouble getting my points out of Westpac
Cheers

Re: Westpac Reward Cards First Year Annual Fee Waived & up to 60,000 Bonus Points

OK, so now have the card and expect my bonus points after the first statement cycle.

A question re the QC invitations. The Website says you get these after making an eligible Qantas purchase; the T & C's seem to suggest that this is only QF flights (not even JQ), QFF and QC membership:

selected Qantas products and services in Australiameans Qantas passenger flights (with a QF flightnumber) purchased on the Qantas merchant account, i.e.directly with Qantas or some travel agents, and QantasFrequent Flyer and Qantas Club membership joiningand annual fees. Excludes Jetstar, Qantas Holidays, andQantas branded non-airfare products.

Pretty restrictive.

Anyone had any luck getting the passes other than booking flights or membership?

So booked some QF flights back in late April to go to AFF 9 in CNS.

Two phone calls and lots of apologies but still no invitations:mad:

About to call again.

So now I am up to 7 phone calls: each time I am told that they have taken the matter up with a supervisor and that I will receive a call from said supervisor before 5PM that day.

I have never received a phone call from them.

As I am gold with QF, I don't need the invitations for myself but I am not going to let them get away with this!

Last call this afternoon, I was advised I would be put on hold while they contacted the supervisor again. NO WAY, said I: having already wasted over an hour on hold in the past week I asked if he would ring me back and he refused.

I suggested that he tell his supervisor that I was filling in their form to lodge a formal complaint and would deliver it to my local branch tomorrow morning, that I would then register a complaint with the FOS, and that I would ask a question at the AGM in December regarding their last of service culture.

Nothing heard. These guys are worse than Citibank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've booked several Qantas flights as well with the card - never received the invitations either

An update:

Last Thursday, I handed the complaint form into my local branch. Early Friday morning I received a call from the local Branch Manager who said she had taken the matter up with HQ and would follow up for me.

Yesterday I received a call from a chap in the complaints branch who said "very sorry, etc." and that the passes had been sent out last Friday. They haven't arrived as yet but we will see.

He also implied that this was not an isolated problem; if fact he seemed to say that no one had been sent passes (or at least very few). He claimed that the problem was now fixed and every one who should have received passes should receive them this week.

I was impressed that he didn't try to blame QF, saying "you are our customer and we need to fix it".

On Friday last week, the chap from the complaints branch rang to see if my invitations had arrived: "NOPE".

Again very apologetic and stated that he would personally put two invitations in express post. They arrived today!! :D

Other than my local branch manager, he is the first person from Westpac who has actually done what they said they would do. Well done by him, but it should not have taken 5 months and 9 phone calls to receive what they offered.

Glad to hear you finally got them! You should've asked him for his direct line :p
