Westpac Altitude 80K bonus QFF Points- $195 fee

I applied this card last Tuesday night, and got the card tonight. I will probably spend $5000 this week and then waiting for the bonus points.

Now just trying to work out the minimum spend I need to do to get 2 QF Lounge Passes.

Collected mine from local Westpac branch this afternoon. Received a txt advising it was ready and to bring 2 forms of ID and proof of income! Took 2016 fins, recent payslip + ID, presented all to teller who asked 'what are they for?' Paperwork that came with card only required the ID - teller took my DL and passed on my passport in favour of my Medicare card.

I will be holding on to this card for the next 11 months as 0.625 points / $ on Visa / MC is my best option for the time being after cancel my ANZ Black .

Looking to spend $5000 get 80K points then will change to Attitude Reward program to get benefit of 2 Priority Pass Lounge instead of Qantas as we already have 2 of those with ANZ Black . How Westpac give you access to Priority Pass Lounge ? Is it via Amex Card or MC ? And also in the case with Amex lounge that you get 4 entries with Main Amex and Sup Amex card , is there a way to take advantage of 4 x Priority Pass Lounge with Additional Card Holder ?

Thanks for the link , Black card arrived today and registered with Priority Pass without any problem , assume we can use the digitial pass after create an account . Now trying to figure out how to get 2 x Qantas Pass without booking flight with Qantas .

I had the westpac black previous and applied for it about the same time last year (11 July to be exact). My question is does the 12 month exclusion start from the day you apply, or the day you cancel, since I didn't cancel it until March this year...

I believe it is the cancellation date, but would be a very happy person if it was application date!

We just noticed that my supplementary card is the same number as the primary card holders card. This means PayPal will not allow us to both have the card linked to our accounts. Pretty ridiculous.

I think we will be signing back up to the new nab bonus offer card after we get our points from westpac.

At the bottom of the page I linked it under 'special promotion' only states that Switches, transfers and existing packages are ineligible....

You are correct, there are other Altitude Black promotions out there which do specify an exclusion but not this page. Strongly suggest you PDF this page so you can complain (including escalation to FOS) if required. I have found having proof works wonders wit complaints.

Thanks for the heads up - hadn't taken a bite of the Westpac CC cherry yet.. this one is seems to be a good fit at 80k QFF + 2 lounge passes for $195.

Conditionally approved pending Income & Employment confirmation - how long did the email take to come through to verify this?

The other half was charged $395 annual fee. She won't have a chance to call until Saturday but thought it mount be worth other people checking just in case.

I just checked and nope, I got charged the correct $195. I'm interested in whether anyone has received their 80K points yet? Be good to know how long they will generally take to show up after meeting the min spend requirement

Will just have to see what they say I guess. we have spent the minimum spend and have seen no points as of yet.

I got the card 2 months ago. In the first statement I got charge $395, but 2 weeks prior to that charge I got an entry of $200 credit. I suggest you ask her to check if she got the -$200 as well.

I did ask her if there were any credits other than what she had paid and she said no.

I'll get her to double check.

I received this card in early May and was charged the full $395 fee with no sign of any refunds. Called up Westpac to ask about it and was given a $250 refund for my trouble. I would advise keeping an eye on it and contact Westpac soon if nothing comes up.

Has anyone else had a delay in receiving their points? I met minimum spend mid-May but haven't seen anything yet (just the normal monthly top-ups) - I know they quote up to 3 months but I was hoping to see them sooner than that!
