Western Sydney Airport (WSI) Discussion

I've once done 4x 23kg bags (paid for 1 extra), was 4x IKEA flat packs. My return flight plus extra bag was cheaper than what Ikea wanted for northern delivery.
I do confess to endeavoring to deliver to my brother a new small outboard boat motor from the Sydney Boat show to his place in Launceston. Made it past the check in but when I saw the baggage handlers clustered around the box having a powwow I knew it was oops. Long story short is it only cost $80 to be eventually delivered by courier (via Bass Street) which was a lot less than my business class flight with Sweet FA!!

I just assumed it was sarcasm.
Alas, possibly not… 🤷‍♂️.

I catch trains and buses all the time and at all hours - never seen a machete swoosh by me. I thought that was more a MEL thing? 🤔

Because?

Let's face it, WSI is not, and never will be, a go to Airport in the Syndey region. Do you have some sort of financial attachment to WSI? Why else go over the top in promoting it?
I don't have financial attachment to WSI.
I only wanted WSI to thirve because I am sick and tired at the slot and curfew restrictions at SYD that made Sydney disconnected from the world between 10pm and 6am due to those selfish Sydney residents who claimed they wanted a quiet night sleep.
Plane noises represnts freedom, and represents endless opportunity, and if you don't like aircraft noise, please move. If you want to complain, complain to yourself why bother living in those areas.
Sydney needs to be connected to the world 24/7/365 and we cannot afford not having planes unable to leave Sydney to interstate, other countries before 6am and after 10pm anymore, and have passengers stranded in Sydney because their plane misses 11pm curfew and ended up delaying their trip by another 14 hours.
I want to promote and support WSI is because I wanted Sydneysiders to be able to go anywhere, anytime they want, and that's why I always say WSI is for all Sydney, Central Coast, Blue Mountains and Illawarra because they are able to travel to WSI in 90 minutes, and WSI will allow more options, flight times, which will make our lives better and airfares cheaper.

Whilst i agree curfew at SYD is unecessay - the airport has been there longer than anyone living under flight path and jets are quieter now than last cebtury.

I'll take 12 min commute to SYDd or 15min to SYDi over 90mins anyday. Hell i can fly SYD to MEL/BNE,/OOL/BNK/CBR all quicker than getting from Martin Place to WSI on PT.

As as been raised before in this thread over and over again it's not "all about me" (as in any specific individual).
