"On hold" meaning wait in the air or on the ground?Or they have to be on hold and then fly to SYD when curfew is over?

Yes they will have to land at an airport that will allow them a clearance to land and then after that fly to SYD when curfew ends.On the ground
?easily road trip to wherever they are going
Your definition of easy is very different to mine.Landing at WSI better because the passengers can easily road trip to wherever they are going - somewhere in Sydney or surrounding regional centres.
Yes they will have to land at an airport that will allow them a clearance to land and then after that fly to SYD when curfew ends.
Example
BNE-SYD takes off but misses curfew by 1 minute and curfew dispensation not approved. Does it fly back to BNE or go to WSI?
Landing at WSI better because the passengers can easily road trip to wherever they are going - somewhere in Sydney or surrounding regional centres.
Landing at WSI allows pilots and crew to go home (assuming that as it is the last flight they are based in Sydney. It means that the crew are not displaced and out of position.
WSI-SYD is a slightly shorter flight in time than having to do another BNE-SYD
And thats my point - a lot of peoole live a lot further away from SYD airport. That you live closer does not mean that significant populations do not live outside of your radius.Your definition of easy is very different to mine.
Lets see what happensI think you’ll find they’ll fly back to BNE.
Lets see what happens
so you dont actually live in Sydney then.Home - SYD is for me what Home - WSI is for you.
I do but again my point. What you think is Sydney is only a part of Greater Sydney.so you dont actually live in Sydney then.
You know as well as every other Sydney sider that we weren’t exactly spoilt for choice for sites for a 2nd airport.I don't have an issue with a second airport just the absolutely useless location of such.
Only the Eastern Suburbs is really Sydney I think is the conclusion we're atI do but again my point. What you think is Sydney is only a part of Greater Sydney.
"Everything past the Anzac Bridge is Western Sydney" has become "Anything past the Anzac Bridge ISN'T Sydney"Only the Eastern Suburbs is really Sydney I think is the conclusion we're at![]()
Not at all; and no one has stated such.Only the Eastern Suburbs is really Sydney I think is the conclusion we're at![]()
Well Given SYD is over the Anzac Bridge that clearly isn't the case."Everything past the Anzac Bridge is Western Sydney" has become "Anything past the Anzac Bridge ISN'T Sydney"![]()

Just a tongue in cheek jab at the not uncommon arbitrary delineation and geographic blindness that goes on in SydneyNot at all; and no one has stated such.
Well Given SYD is over the Anzac Bridge that clearly isn't the case.
Maybe instead of trying to be funny you should look at what has actually been said.
Check my maths on what exactly?I think you need to check your maths on that.
Sydney CBD, North Sydney CBD, Chatswood, and Macquarie Business Park are all much closer to SYD than WSI. Even Paramatta CBD is closer to SYD than WSI.
A CBD at WSI is only a theory it doesnt actually exist.
Check my maths on what exactly?
Seems you've misunderstood what I said. Bradfield will be Greater Sydney's third CBD. I didn't say it's Sydney's current 3rd largest CBDThat the 3rd largest CDB in NSW is right near WSI - that is just not true.
I listed all the largest CBDs in Sydney there is only one in the West and that is Paramatta which is closer to SYD then WSI.
There is no CBD at Badgery's Creek, someone has made a sales pitch, but there is no PT connecting it elsewhere nor major businesses head quartered there.
45km.WSI is 60km from Martin Place - that is an absolute crazy distance.
