Hi all,

Don't adjust your screens, we're adding some benefits to our AFF memberships! And by enhancing, we do actually mean 'making better' ;)

The changes are explained below, but the TLDR version is:
  • Gold members will get access to live webinars
  • Gold members get a 10% discount on new annual seats.aero memberships
  • Platinum members get a 25% discount on new annual seats.aero memberships
  • Gold members get a $10 LoungePair credit
  • Platinum members get a free LoungePair lounge pass, and free LoungePair+ for a year (normally $149).
  • All AFF members can get $20 off LoungePair+
So, the explanations. We're making live webinars available to both Gold and Platinum members - opening up our live webinars to more members creates a much more interactive, community environment. It also has the added benefit of spreading more knowledge to engaged frequent flyers!

The seats.aero discounts are only for new annual memberships, but considering its a discount on the already-discounted annual membership, it's a sizeable discount over the upfront monthly price. Seats.aero is the tool of choice for many frequent flyers (including @AFF Editor), so it's worth checking out - see the guide on how to use seats.aero to find Qantas, Velocity and other reward seats.

We've also finalised an agreement with LoungePair, a start-up that make it easy to buy one-off lounge passes without requiring a membership - perfect for the one-off holiday or for a regular traveller. Gold members will get a nice $10 credit towards their first lounge pass, while Platinum members get complimentary LoungePair+, which provides flexibility on your passes, discounts to companion passes and other benefits. Platinum members will also get a free lounge pass to use on one of the 1,400+ lounges! Also, all AFF members can purchase LoungePair+ with a $20 discount. Check out our guide to LoungePair for more info.
