Following excellent advice on this forum, I have had my upcoming DONE4 ticketed through LAN instead of QF and saved over $4,000 in taxes (http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/com...ule-check-land-sector-16236-4.html#post219116.)
In order to do this I had to change my QF flight from SYD-EZE to the LAN codeshare. Now when my (interim) TA tries to allocate seats on the LAN flight he can only find upper deck seats. While I don't mind sitting on the upper deck when flying myself, because I am flying with Marge and Maggie I decided it would be good if we all sat together (ie three seats together) which of course means sitting on the lower deck.
My (interim) TA thinks that because we are using the LAN codeshare number, the only seats that can be selected are those that have been "allocated to LAN". In his words "Qantas probably has the lower deck and LAN has the upper deck".
This all sounds silly to me, but is it?
