Maybe it was a trial of QF's new on-board fire suppression system

Gee you can't please some people.. it's either 'I asked for water from the FA but haven't got it yet', or 'There is too much water falling on my head!'

My vision of water poured in I would guess is somewhat different than what rearly happened!

Yep agree - slow news day - hold on, whats this! A tsunami is threatening - maybe it was tsunami water gushed into the QF cabin at LAX!!

Mr!

This is more newsworthy than many stories reported in the news, eg if you have a look at the homepage of news.com.au, the sibling stories a funny photo story, a celebrity story and a cross-promotion for MasterChef

So why are you surprised or frustrated by the publication of this story?

I am interested they are using Aviation Herald as a source of information

Is water management an ongoing issue with the 744s?

On two QF 744 flights I've taken within the last few months there have been issues with the water - on one, water pressure to the toilets was erratic, on another, the potable water systems failed and the FAs had to put wet towels in the toilets for people to use as the faucets could not deliver water and they also couldn't serve coffee.

How did this:

???

Unless they wanted to link the article more tightly with Oz.

The 744 has not flown MEL/AKL as QF25 since 9th June - this happened on July 12th.

Perhaps they trawl the Av Herald looking for anything with "Qantas"?
Surely not.
Interesting that the FT forum has this -
I bet the SMH could put a real fun spin on this
-not sure that the SMH is part of "No News Ltd"

Note the comments section the predictable re: QF onshore/offshore maintenance.

Where are all the stories about all the other faults and delays with every other airline.

I put this in the nonews section.

Yeah I did notice this.

I do not understand how anyone would consider this story newsworthy. So there was a water leak on board a flight....
