Hi guys,

First post! You all seem to be very knowledgeable regarding all things travel so I thought it would be wise to ask the community here for directions.

Looking for a quality wallet that has a sim card holder (1 is good, 2 is better).

I actually found a thread on AFF where two users mentioned that they had such wallets - http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/open-discussion/keep-sim-cards-safe-20335-2.html
However, the thread is closed now so I was unable to contact the two members who mentioned the different wallets.

I hope you find this thread!

Hi Mr ZN,

In Asia, Tough Jeansmith wallets are very popular and as a bonus they make many of their wallets with sim card slots. You can easily buy these wallets in most Asian countries from the Bauhaus shops.

Here is an ebay listing as an example below. I am not endorsing this ebay seller, but there is a photo of the wallet brand I am talking about.

My gold lion wallet (bought in Singapore) has three sim slots in the coin pocket. Is a bit annoying as small coins often find their way into the slots instead!

I gave up using wallets to carry SIM's (considering I typically have 10-12 SIM cards at a time, although i'm a unique case I guess).

I use one of these:

Which is one of these:

They make a great SIM storage box. Small, compact, and stay closed. If you want the full SIM card holder use the regular Altoid tin. I use those for my various public transport smart cards (they fit credit cards very nicely). Nice discreet way of carrying cards not in a wallet too, if you have backup cards or like to spread your finances out for safety like I do.

The other option, as Altoids are only really readily available in the USA, is this:

They also work well :)

Thanks for all the ideas guys, will take everything on board as per say.

Almost every wallet in India had this feature. Call me old fashioned, but I was looking for one that had decent storage for coins - so I have up 3 sim card places for a single sim card with good coin storage. Wallets are like women to men - each has their own preference on size, shape and color :)

I'm considering getting the Bellroy Travel Wallet. but not sure if it will actually be too bulky for every day use. Sure it would be great for flying in and out of airports with given the easy storage of passport / tickets etc.

What do most people do for travelling with their passport? Just keep it in the plastic sleeve they come with?

Using whatever discretion you need, why do you need 10-12 SIM cards when you travel?

Ditto with Bellroy! I have one of their travel wallets, works brilliantly. Has a nice, safe slot for a single SIM card. :)

Love Bellroy and their wallets. own half of them -.-

The travel wallet isn't one of them. Way too big to use every day. Leather used is also very bulky.
And since it's made to fit a passport, the notes pocket is deep. I find it not very practical.

I also like my boarding pass flat not bent. FWP.

I use the Take out wallet. Just wide enough to hold a passport. Keeps boarding passes flat (although longer ones from AA stick out a bit)

comes with a sim slot. Although not sure they're all that helpful if you use nano sims. I just throw them into the coin slot which has a zipper. (or cellotaped to the card they come in and keep in a cardslot)

the detachable wallet is super handy, although a bit small to hold bigger currency notes, eg NT$, HK$

Pierre Cardin make a nice wallet with a SIM card holder. A good looking wallet too.
