"Waitlisted" in Your Booking?

After applying for a points upgrade, at arount T-24, "Your Booking" page used to show "Confirmed" for economy and "Waitlisted" for business, until the upgrade was confirmed.

Should it still do that? I noticed that it did not happen with one of my requests.

I'm wondering if a flight doesn't show 'Waitlisted' at T-24 (or near enough so), it means upgrade was unsuccessful, or if it is just a slow system and might still happen?

It was more T-16 from my recollection when the waitlist message appeared, although been quite a while since I've put in for a points upgrade on an International flight.

I believe that if your upgrade is not successful, it remains waitlisted until your flight takes off...

Ah, thanks Mal. I shall wait and see if it does say "Waitlisted" eventually then.

I think you're right about it continuing to show "Waitlisted" until departure time if it was unsuccessful.
