My wife and I are planning on using Regional Express to fly to Tasmania from Melbourne on Mar 20 and back on Mar 28;

and then in the first 2 weeks of Apr to Adelaide and Coober Pedy and then Broken Hill and Sydney and ending in Byron Bay.

Their Terms and Conditions state "Subject to W class availability."

Does this mean we would be on standby for every flight?

How available would flights be at this time of year? :shock:

MARTYH, welcome to AFF.

That would mean that W class must be available at the time you purchase the ticket. Once purchased, the availability is confirmed. W is just a fare booking class used for inventory control to limit the number of seats sold at different fares. different fares will have different terms and conditions associated, such as penalties/fees for making changes or cancelling after purchase, pre-purchase time requirements etc.

I am not personally family with REX's W fares and their terms and conditions. However, the "subject to [insert fare class] availability is common when obtaining quotes.
