Even I don't drink sparking at that time.
Say what?! We kicked off with sparkling at about 7.30am yesterday before our flight. And I was treated to Champagne with my breakfast this morning. Champers is made for breakfast!

Say what?! ... Champers is made for breakfast!

Let me stop you right there.
There is only 1 acceptable time for Champagne and that is when you are awake.
It is my understanding that everyone knew this rule ?

And some personal favourite quotes we like to mutter to each other when we open a bottle or a bottle is opened for us and we have the first sip.

And re your breakfast comment:

"Why do I drink Champagne for breakfast? Doesn't everyone?"
NOEL COWARD reportedly said

And then there is Mark Twain on champagne for breakfast-
“Why do I drink Champagne for breakfast? Doesn’t everyone?”

So.....Champagne is made for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between?

Been trying to think of something that doesn't suit champagne - maybe really sad funerals? Went to a few of them last year and definitely not.... My favourite place to drink Champagne is in winter with a good book and a very hot bath. Bubbly with bubbles.

Certainly.from Lily Bollinger-
I drink champagne when I'm happy and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I'm not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it - unless I'm thirsty.

You may want to check the spa opening hours on a Saturday as when i was there two weeks ago the spa was open from 8am to 12.30pm and then from 8pm to 11pm and all treatments are now 20 minutes

There may be RSA limitations in the lounge but there aren't any RSF (food) limitations! 6 hours equals brekky then morning tea then lunch. Mmmm...

Aren't the spa treatments 20 minutes long now?
They are in Sydney
If so and the lounge isn't busy you may be able to have two treatments.

I was there the other day, and the option was "facial" or "one of the massage treatments". I asked if I could do both, if at all there were slots available, and was told that only one treatment per pax. Which still, in my book, is pretty amazing....

Doing a "keep my status" run next week to Auckland and as a WP I'm taking Mrs davlaw to the first lounge. This will be our first ever visit to it. So ... my question is any do's or don'ts? We have a late flight out and intend to be in the lounge for 6-7 hours.

Hehe, i will be in there next week as well, although I'm headed off to SIN ;) :p Soon we will all be playing the 'Spot-The-AFFer' game! :D

I find 45-60 minutes is more than enough in any lounge and after 90 minutes a lounge can get extremely boring.

At least you will have each other for 6-7 hours.

How full does the lounge get for QF9? Is there a chance of not getting a table?

I have those too. Not sure how I would display said bag tags at a function where carry on luggage not required.

I thought the AFF tags were for checked luggage...... Should I take them off and put them on my carry on?

I can see a pin of some kind working
