XFJ has departed MEL and left Australia this morning...

Certainly going to miss these big birds. 😢

QF are already flying A330’s-300’s East - west apparently for Cargo so VA may not of had the volume with freight either to make them sustainable

Slightly off topic however I've just noticed the ATRs being rescheduled on the Sydney - Canberra route in 2021. Thought they were getting the chop too and had previously seen the route slimmed to a few 737 services only.

Legacy IT quirk? Or maybe they have changed their mind and think they can make a go of them, again 😂 🧐 ....?

What month?

Every day after the 28th of March. I suspect it just hasn't been updated yet.

There are no SYD-CBR flights on VA between now and 31 Jan 2021, then after 1 Feb 2021 there is about 1-2 flights per day (on a 737) until 28 March 2021. After that, the schedule is showing 8-9 flights all on the ATR.

Re: for Airwin, June, I am looking it too, Syd - Cbr, no J class on VA, as they are using their Aerospecial on that route.
I am looking at either Bne or Cbr for my "use" points, ...
No J service, no lounge (at of now/future), Syd - Cbr, but fares on that route still high.
Edit, sorry, Henrus.
Maybe when parliament sits, they would not use the A72, and it would be back to the 737.

Granted on the lie-flat, its lovely to have but not a deal-breaker. However, the recline on the 'J' seating of VA's 737 is no were near enough and they never got around to installing foot rests either ... which seems a small thing, but can help to stop you sliding down the seat.

Thanks for the reminder on booking direct with SQ using points. I have tried this before and can't remember why I stopped ... are traditional reward seats able to be booked this way? Or only Any Seat rewards? I have a feeling that I balked at the point-cost when booking via VA.

In my limited experience , we can book SQ flights using points plus pay option , however seldom we see availability of SQ flights as reward ticket bookings.

Funny because I think I checked post March schedules a week or so ago and it was serviced by a 737.

Another two B777 positioning from BNE to WTB as VA9918 - VPH today and VPD tomorrow...

And A330 XFG is scheduled to operate BNE-MEL tomorrow as VA9902...

All these aircraft will be transitioned out prior to Bain taking control.

All 5 77Ws are now at WTB. VOZ likely to be returning to lessor shortly.

As for the other 4 'owned/mortgaged' 77Ws, whether (or when) the encumbering banks claim the other 77Ws is yet to be known.

VPF is the first of the 4 encumbered (formerly owned) 77Ws that has been re-registered to the banks/financier.

I would assume VPF would be flying out by the banks' contractors shortly, likely re-registered under a 'N' (USA) registration.

Both VPD and VPH registration details has now listed "THE HONGKONG AND SHANGHAI BANKING CORPORATION LIMITED" as the Trustee/Authorised Party of those aircraft. So we know that Bank has encumbered those two ex-VAi 77Ws.

The two aircraft however are still under registration/ownership of 'VB Leaseco Pty Ltd' (a shell company of VAH) per registration update.
