Slightly off topic however I've just noticed the ATRs being rescheduled on the Sydney - Canberra route in 2021. Thought they were getting the chop too and had previously seen the route slimmed to a few 737 services only.
Granted on the lie-flat, its lovely to have but not a deal-breaker. However, the recline on the 'J' seating of VA's 737 is no were near enough and they never got around to installing foot rests either ... which seems a small thing, but can help to stop you sliding down the seat.
Thanks for the reminder on booking direct with SQ using points. I have tried this before and can't remember why I stopped ... are traditional reward seats able to be booked this way? Or only Any Seat rewards? I have a feeling that I balked at the point-cost when booking via VA.
Funny because I think I checked post March schedules a week or so ago and it was serviced by a 737.Every day after the 28th of March. I suspect it just hasn't been updated yet.
There are no SYD-CBR flights on VA between now and 31 Jan 2021, then after 1 Feb 2021 there is about 1-2 flights per day (on a 737) until 28 March 2021. After that, the schedule is showing 8-9 flights all on the ATR.
XFC is the next to follow XFJ, being scheduled to operate AVV-MEL tomorrow as VA9917...A330 XFJ operated a 13 minute positioning flight from AVV to MEL today as VA9903:
