I have an I class flight on Qatar from LHR to DOH to ADL coming up shortly.

I have dropped from Gold to Silver on Qatar and this won't be quite enough to get me back to Gold.

I have just realised that I will drop from Silver on Virgin today.

I can find the points earn on the flights for Virgin but can't work out how to find the SC credit earn to see whether it's worth crediting to VA so I could possibly get back to Silver (which I know isn't much but it does get a couple of lounge passes a year)

The other alternative is to credit them to BA for more Avios. I'm LTG with QF and don't want to credit anything to them if possible (not that I can)

Any assistance appreciated.

So much confusion on whether to book through virgin or Qatar,
On virgin there is one business fare whereas Qatar there are 3-4 fare types with variations in seat selection lounge access etc
Then of course the flight from Doha to europe is QATAR plane.
Does anyone have any concrete info on this?

Need to consider your own circumstance and the new requirement for 50% of your SCs to be earned by yourself on VA coded or operated flights.

Keep in mind to maintain status with Virgin Australia from the 1st of October 2025, at least 50% of your flights have to be with a VA code.

Eligible Sectors will no longer be used. Instead, to upgrade or maintain to Silver, Gold, and Platinum Status, 50% of your Status Credits balance must be earned on Virgin Australia marketed and or operated flights flown by you.

This means that when you fly on a flight with a VA flight number (e.g., VA 800 Sydney to Melbourne - operated by Virgin Australia, or VA 8507 Brisbane to San Fransisco - operated by United Airlines), or when you fly on a Virgin Australia flight with an Airline Partner flight number (e.g., SQ 6435 Canberra to Brisbane - operated by Virgin Australia), the Status Credits you earn will contribute to this 50% Status Credit eligibility requirement.
