For anyone thinking of this one, to earn VFF points, some points to think of.
You only earn 8 Go card points per transaction so if you make 4 transactions, you will only earn 32 Go card points.
Its not earnt per $1, its how many transactions per day, 8 multiplied by how many transactions.
A bit of a downer, but on the collection side, it looks ok, ...
So, if you made purchase of $1000, but in 8 transactions, you will only earn 64 Go card points on the Virgin Money system.
Putting that to VFF, it would divide by half so, 32 VFF points.

Worth noting that this bank account earns Virgin Money points, not Velocity points. They aren't the same thing.
Yes, but Virgin Money points can be converted to Velocity (or Accor, or Marriott, or Etihad, or Qatar, or United).
The 5,000 point sign up offer does have some value (although that ends up being 2,500 Velocity Points)

I think a few Bankwest veterans might be able to suggest ways to maximise returns on this...

Nak, Bankwest has stopped the QFF liaison, so QP is the debit one now.
On the credit side, lots of options.
On the debit side, for VFF, its only FB is the only one, where you can use any debit card to earn FB points... but its a pain having to walk to Coles, mine is about 10 mins away.
FB linked fuel, in South Aus, very few Reddy Express left.
Yes, the VM card is not the best, but its a good way, for those who cant or wont or dont want to live in hock to earn points, yes, I know, some people do it.
As they say, beggars cant be choosers.
I got the VM card, didnt really read it in depth, thought wow, 8 points per $1, but then it hit.
But will keep the card anyway, anything to keep my VFF account points alive, apart from FB.
Also FB cant be earnt on a lot of things, ie, bpay, buying outside of Westfarmers ilk.
