J discount seems to apply on most/all routes, can't get the Y discount to apply on some key routes like SYD-MEL.
Are there blackout dates on it??

Neither ITX13 or booking direct via the NRMA portal yielded any discount on a BNE-CBR J fare for me. Not surprised TBH, few of my flights ever seem to be "eligible".

Upon checking just now, no. But I never bother to check and just assume the worst - hence not surprised. One day I'll get to use one! I did get a little discount through the business flyer portal though.

1st time booking to complete platinum status challenge, where do you insert promo code?
BNE - SYD- CBR -SYD-BNE & not in black-out dates ...
No clue if this is best value but i'll be in Brisbane doing QF status run and I will have day spare....
Any other suggestions ex BNE...
Thanks...

You can add the promo code on the "guests" page.

If you start from the home page, you'll follow "From/To", "Dates" and then "Guests".

If you go via other screens, you don't seem to get the ability to add a promo code..

I have just now booked one way PER-BME using the code ITX13 and it worked. Saved $48. On the e-ticket it is printed at "Tour code".
I am just so glad that I finally remembered to use the code as I had forgotten on previous flights to Kununurra.

Well I used ITX13 and something interesting certainly happened. I booked a SYD-MEL for next March, late in the month and a J fare came up for $280. I'll definitely take that for the 55 SCs I think. Looks like I'll be dropping to SG in Feb, so this could kick off a run back to WP maybe. I'm returning a few days later on a Choice fare which was about $220.

Could you enlighten me as to '55 SCs', 'SG' and 'WP'? Many thanks.

Yes, I’m sorry about the names we (a group of FF’s who met at the BNE QC) coined when we were 6-8 beers into our get together in 2003. Blame me 😱😳🤷‍♂️

After chatting to @Mattg about this little earner on the AFF weekend, I’m going to jump aboard buying some for the future. Seems the discount is more than 10% but we have a thought as to why 💡

I have seen flights with this promo code recently where J was all of $2.44 more expensive than Lite, and cheaper than Choice. As well as lots where no Lite is available and J is the cheapest seat on the plane. It makes no sense, but I'll take it!
