Yep, been there for at least 6 month, or April as you've pointed out. Same operator as their international lounge

It's now been almost a year since that sign was first reported! Anyone have any updates on the new lounge?

Paid a visit to the Escape Lounge in the international terminal.
Asked at the front desk what's happening with the Domestic Lounge,
was meant to open last year, good luck this year.
Doesn't look like it's going to happen.

They must want a premium on the rent front. No doubt VA attempted to renegotiate post collapse but no dice.

Unfortunately for us folk in ADL our direct options are slim pickings.
I’m up there for a few days in July and VA J return is just over $1200 direct.
Qf don’t fly direct so it’s around $2100 return and via SYD/BNE
No lounge is worth that.
Happy just kill a bit of time in the terminal at CNS

I heard the lounge space is now used by Uber drivers to rest while they cancel jobs…….I may have made that up
