Good on them for pricing it so high - imagine the uproar about "the lounges are too full due to all the paid members" if they'd priced it any lower.

As opposed to the lounges being too full due to all the SC freeloaders?????

Sorry, that was a cheap quip waiting to be said! In reality Doc, that's a great point........except the busier the lounge, the better chance of J, F and CL type facilities. I also didn't suggest the pricing was wrong, simply the inclusions. Ansett is a name I still remember and consider when making such committments.

Bump. Has anyone bought one of these and would they have any feedback / opinions plse?

There seems to be very limited lounges, how about international experience.

Perhaps the Velocity rep might take this as invite to sell it....

I paid $3,000 for QP life in the late nineties. I was weighing up "Qantas vs Ansett, Qantas vs Ansett, Qantas vs.... oh stuff it I'll go Qantas." Probably the best 3K i ever spent, and down the track when I stop business traveling on and lose status, it will come in handy. I think the Virgin offer is too expensive and too limited in lounge availability.
