Virgin Australia Delays/Cancellations

I don't know if these are all due to weather, insufficient air controllers, just 'normal' delays for a busy Friday arvo or something to do with slightly slower flying to save fuel given what may soon be diminishing supplies of Jet A1.
Sydney has been operating on one runway the entire day and will continue to do so until curfew.

Everything across the board is delayed or cancelled as a result.

Today - multiple delays for many flights out of Melbourne due to thunderstorms after 2pm and likely to have impacts on the east coast flights the most…

VA1327 just had a go-around at MEL.

QF1528 still rolling down the runway….maybe a little slow to get going.

On Sunday 12 April, single runway operations in Sydney are causing big delays.

VA834, the 1100 hours SYD-MEL took off at 1327 with B738 VH-IWX. Gate arrival should be about 1433 hours, 118 minutes late.

VA517, the 1120 hours SYD up to OOL was airborne at 1328 so is at least 95 minutes late. VH-YWE has the task.

Flowing on to Brisbane this afternoon and evening where SYD bound flights are virtually all heavily delayed, but also pushing delays elsewhere into the network too such as BNE-MEL with delayed operating aircraft late from SYD.
