Let's try to get a handle on what DJ serve to their Business/premium customers and when they serve it.

Please post your experience of flying business/premium on Velocity Australia

Photos would be good too.

Virgin Australia Business Class Catering

Hi All,

Does any one have access to any information regarding what Virgin Australia serves on different sectors across their Business Class network? I heard earlier on in the year that there is a booklet containing meal choices and what is served on specific flights e.g. (Snack, Meal, 3 Course Meal)

Thank You,

Bradley :D

Flown this route a couple of times & received dinner service. Most recent was pasta meat balls, bread roll, salad, macadamia chocolates. Apparently no ice cream sandwich on flights <3hrs so the CSM gave me Toblerone instead. Beer choice of Crown or Fat Yak. Would be nice to have a couple more menu selections but overall very happy with service.

Yep. Once after Aus Day and then later in Feb on some comp upgrade victory. It is spot on the same tray (different main) as I've had MEL - SYD; SYD - OOL; BNE -CBR during the dinner service.

It's just really rushed - I suggested (when some marketing mob called me afterwards) that they should start heating them before takeoff.... doesn't seem to happen, MEL-CBR is still really slow.

Afternoon Snack 1.5 hour scheduled flight (serviette unwrapped to reveal cutlery)

Departure time, which causes a problem, especially during daylight savings leaving QLD to say SYD/MEL

You leave BNE/OOL at say 17:00 and don't get back to SYD/MEL until 20:30... That should be a dinner service

Absolutely. Was on a 5.55pm BNE-MEL which is a 2.5 hour trip and you guessed it, snack service and pretty woeful too. Just not on. Failing grade. But yes the cabin crew smiled a lot which is just great

Agree - I was on the 17:45 flight from OOL-MEL a few weeks ago getting into melbourne at 2110....

Snack service, no lounge at OOL and the flight left about 30 mins late.....

I asked for some food from Y and it was happily provided and presented nicely on a tray/plate etc, but I shouldn't have to to do that

Had my 5th cheese board in a row - I like them, but not that much. I'd have thought they'd rotate the meals so the same flight didn't get the same meal consecutive weeks, but clearly not. Still hanging out for the vietnamese spring rolls...

I'm over the whole snack service thing. Really. The various airlines that engage in this don't appear to discount flights at snack times so I'd really appreciate it if they didn't make any assumptions about how hungry I might be or what my daily calorie intake is. I'm so over cheese and sandwiches/wraps. The lounge food is no better for most of the day. Cold cuts and bread, maybe soup if you get lucky, so I can't even bulk up in the lounge for the most part as its the same cheap rubbish.

They obviously don't want me to fly at certain times of the day because its too hard to feed me (yes... I love food!). So, now try hard to choose flights where there is at least some chance of being fed ... unless the J meals mysteriously don't get loaded

This is what I was just served for CNS-MEL! 3.5 hours leaving at Lunch time and I get this! not even a side salad! SO MUCH FOR A 3 COURSE MEAL!
