Looks rather crusty on top for a quiche Lorraine. The size must be decent but looks misleadingly small based on the photo.

I like how they qualified the pancakes as "home made". The catering cook made them according to their recipe at home? (I can understand when you order directly at a restaurant or cafe, but...)

Currently on the SYD-MEL and must say I haven't had such good service previously on such a short flight. The FA looking after J explained the on board facilities before take off, proactively offered drink top ups, and came out with a tray of snacks from the pantry.

Meal choices were beef ragout and gnocchi, or some chickpea masala curry with optional tandoori chicken.

As someone who paid full fare J last flights and always sits row 2, this is definitely not the case.
Can confirm I didn't get served first as paying J. But I still got my choice of meal.

Oh! That’s normal service for the good CMs! lol

But not all are the same.

Full fare + platinum doesn’t even give you first crack at meals! I’ve had CMs go out of their way to serve platinums last because they thought non-status shouldn’t always miss out! 🤣

Hoping for more of this normal service as I'm going to have multiple work trips happening. Was only full fare + silver, but should make gold by December with the DSC.

Order of service:
1 A C
1 D F
2 D F
2 A C
I've seen this order a bit lately. I'm still a firm deliver it should be status based or fare type (with upgrades done last). Crew do get a list of last minute changes/upgrades where catering isn't guaranteed but with most flights catered for the full 8 I don't think they bother looking at it.

PDB offered from water, sparkling wine or juice.

Cheese tortellini, sundried tomato paste with herbed sweet potato, cherry tomato and cheese with optional chicken (chicken not offered!) - my choice and would have again OR Chicken black sesame / teriyaki with rice and broccoli. Usual cheese and crackers on the side of the trayh, and I had a mini Cadbury choc, others had a tim tam.

Service was 1A - 1F and then 2A - 2F. Drinks proactively refilled. Happy to provide additional sweets for my post-meal hot chocolate. Great service from CM Penelope.

New seats, no curtain, plenty of Y passengers coming up front for the bathroom.
