Proscuitto? VA and I must shop at different Delis
It's bizarre to see prosciutto on cous cous - I'm used to having the cous cous drowning in Prosecco! 🤣
Syd >Melb 9am this morning. Scrambled eggs on Turkish or corn frittata with cherry tomatoes and sweet capsicum relish . Both good, made better by the excellent cabin service.

VA1366, Melb to Launceston.

Prosciutto cous cous salad with veggies or mezza plate with awesome hommus. Both were really good.

How on earth are you getting two J meals on a Virgin J flight? Is there some secret code we need to say to the flight attendants to get that level of service? 🤔

What I will say is I absolutely love the variety here. Lots of great options on the same day on Virgin instead of the usual porkie one comes to expect flying Qantas J short haul!

MEL-ADL - Thai Green chicken curry. Excellent taste and spice kick – definitely not dialled down to accommodate those with milder tastes. Other dish was the mezze as shown above. Seat mate chose it and it looked very fresh and tasty.

Not the FAs, but to your Travel Agent (or think to yourself) - "Please book me two flights on Virgin ..." 🙂

A rare opportunity for me to add to this thread so thought I'd jump in! This was on OOL-CBR yesterday, not two meals for me but one each for my wife and I ;) Both impressed with the meal - I had the cajun chicken sandwich (nice spice) and the other a risotto salad? I think a sweet treat (e.g. small cake) would have been a nice addition on the tray, not just the 20c size piece of chocolate, but can't complain when snacks including sweet biscuits were offered later. A nice trip all round.

OK, big news............... VA has changed some of their menus!

I was flying on the last VA flight from BNE to MEL (nervous as they had cancelled me a few weeks previously, and I needed to be in MEL (yesterday), so I did buy a QF ticket (as insurance !)). Once I knew VA inbound was airborne and checked with staff prior to any outbound issues before committing to VA and cancelling the QF option.

I had paid for a flex ticket. However, VA upgraded me (thanks, Jane)

The Curry / Mac routine was replaced with the new summer menu?

In my case, some chicken and potatoes dish - quite tasty and reflective of my original heritage. The Faith Shiraz ( as well as a few G&Ts) did the job, as always.

Apologies for the photography (I guess I am no Lord Snowdon)

They haven't changed menus, it's more likely different meal cycles ;)

Different cycles will reflect from different ports of departure.

I.e

MEL C1
SYD C2
BNE C3

if a flight is double catered from whatever port then the meals will reflect from the first catered port.

You could have a flight double catered ex SYD to do a MEL return so the flight from MEL-SYD will have SYD C2 instead of MEL C1
