Well Hubby applied Friday ( already has Platinum edge) and didn't hear anything. However he got a letter yesterday saying he had been approved but as he already holds an Amex, then they would take his existing credit limit into account. Nothing about not getting the points, so I guess we will have to wait and see.

I checked last night and I have 10 referrals posted of 20k points each!!

Not sure if more than 10 links have been used

Theres no way to know, only if I get more 20k additions?

I have had words with AMEX on that very issue. They are unrepentant, it's FB/Lin or nothin'. Let me know if you figure it out as I have some friends that are interested.

Been sweating bullets in the hope that signup bonus points would post as I already have an Amex Plat charge and Plat Edge....

Yes, once you open the link in facebook or linkedin (click on the promo box to open the amex page), just copy the URL, you don't need to share or post it.

Just a suggestion, but maybe those who have already hit the 200k max referral points should delete their links??

Sadly when I used smit0847's link the points bonus was 80,000 but I'm still happy. Has been a better bonus offer for a while now. All terms and conditions as described above and also availabe at the link site.
