"This isn't exercise, it's an experience. For new members, sign up to Virgin Active and visit 3x or more every week within the first 12 weeks and you'll receive 10,000 Velocity Points. T&Cs apply.

Find out more here: https://virg.in/vffvirginactive "

I'd sooner sign down to a credit card for even more points. Having to go 3 times or more a week for 12 weeks seems over the top!

Edit: I would like to thank the mods for changing the thread title but this now makes my earlier post below mostly irrelevant...

I will bite.....

Why is this a REALLY bad promotion?

Looks like a very easy points earning opportunity if you are going to do it anyway.

Mods: I would like to request that the 'trolling' title of this thread be changed to something remotely relevant...

To me it's "poor value" / not very enticing.

$60 a week (3 month plan) for Virgin Active and they want you to go 3 times a week for 12 weeks.

12 x $60 = $720

Don't get me wrong I think for $60 a week you would probably be going more than 3 times a week.

My assumption of the promotion is for someone to go "I'll sign up and my bonus is the points". It just feels like it slightly misses a trick. Maybe plus x points for $ spend.

Though if you were gonna sign down anyway surely it's a bonus.

Then again, there's often comments that the supermarkets do 1cent price mark downs.

(NOTE: the title has a question mark at the end, which reflects I wasn't making a statement and actually questioning thoughts from others.)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Its a bit overpriced, but 3 times a week isnt out of the question for most who go to the gym.
